Sikeston (26-1) vs. Ste. Genevieve (17-11), 7:45 p.m. – A loaded Sikeston team relies on its athleticism and pressure defense, plus super soph Fred Thatch, Jr. and senior shooter Dominique Dyes. St. Gen is coming off its first district title win in 46 years. (Prediction: Sikeston)
Lutheran South (21-6) vs. Parkway West (22-5), 7:45 p.m. – A battle of styles and Lutheran South wants to run and score a lot of points while a bigger Parkway West team is a little more deliberate. West is led by 6’8″ junior Wyatt Yess, who leads a very big front line. South features athletic 6’3″ guard Lezoghia Member-Meneh and 6’3″ post John Yeager. (Prediction: Parkway West)
Vashon (21-4) vs. Riverview Gardens (11-6), 8 p.m. – A heavyweight battle as No. 1 Vashon takes on a uber-talented Riverview team. Vashon is led by junior guard Daniel Farris, who comes up big time after time. There is size in 6’7″ forwards Levi Stockard III and Daimon Taylor and a talented freshman in Mario McKinney. The View features 6’7″ SLU recruit Zeke Moore and talented bigs 6’9″ Jason Draggs and 6’7″ K’Quan Moore. (Prediction: Vashon)
St. Charles West (18-7) vs. Kirksville (18-6), 7:45 p.m. – St. Charles West is back in the winner’s circle again with another talented point guard in senior Hasaan Decarolis. He’s the latest in a long line of nice point guards at West. Senior forward Dallin Vorkink is an excellent all-around scorer while their is excellent perimeter shooting in the backcourt. (Prediction: St. Charles West).
St. Francis Borgia (19-7) vs. Helias (18-9), 7:45 p.m. – A battle of two very good programs with excellent tradition. Borgia’s 6’7″ forward Alex Movilla has been a big stock riser in the Class of 2017. Athletic senior guards Luke DeLine and Walton Eckelkamp can both score in bunches. Helias has a talented backcourt in senior Sam Husting and sophomore Landon Harrison. There’s good size up front in 6’7″ Trevor Koelling and 6’6″ Adam Bax. (Prediction: Helias)
Glendale (18-9) vs. Webb City (20-6), 7:45 p.m. – A young Glendale team is now on the postseason scene with talented sophomores Monty Johal and Jordan Walton. Webb City is one of the state’s most improved teams behind 6’8″ senior Preston Ellis and sophomore point guard Preston Guiot. (Prediction: Glendale)
Bolivar (25-4) vs. Raytown South (16-11), 7:45 p.m. – Bolivar begins another Final Four quest behind 6’6″ junior post Brandon Emmert, athletic forward Johnny Scott and guard Bryce Krueger. Raytown has a talented youngster in 6’6″ sophomore Savon Witt and a tough guard in Hezekiah Goodwin. (Prediction: Bolivar)
Lincoln Prep (18-7) vs. St. Joe Lafayette (25-3), 7:45 p.m. – Lincoln Prep features a talented big in 6’6″ senior Isaac Smith and a talented guard in 6’2″ junior Steve Dudley. Lafayette has balance with 6’4″ juniors Caleb Bennett, Sterling Hicks, senior guard Gary Wilkinson and sophomore point guard Diego Bernard. (Prediction: St. Joe Lafayette)
