With the way the Bulldogs shot from three in this game, though, it didn’t matter what defense Eastern employed. Lapel went 9-for-15 from 3-point range in its 62-35 victory in the Lapel Regional semi0final.
This barrage from deep started with Kamron Herrington who made four 3-pointers in the first half, including a buzzer beater to end the half. His hot shooting was matched by everyone else on the roster as Lapel hit 3-pointers when open, with defenders on them and even falling backward. This finished off a dominate second quarter for the Bulldogs where they outscored Eastern 17-2.
Eastern’s Trey Thomas and Braden Evans did their best to attack the basket in the second half and showed some nice control when they got into the lane, but it wasn’t going to be enough to limit the strong shooting day from the Bulldogs.
