- Chaminade (27-5): The Red Devils concluded a fabulous season by winning the Class 5 state championship. Chaminade played a national schedule against many of the top teams around the country. Seniors Jayson Tatum (Duke), Tyler Cook (Iowa) and Michael Lewis II (Duquesne) led the way.
- Springfield Kickapoo (29-3): The Chiefs were the state runners-up in the Class 5 state tournament. Their only losses this season were to national teams Sierra Canyon (CA), Christ of King (NY) and Chaminade in the state championship game. Junior Jared Ridder and guards Isaac Johnson, Niekie Thomas-Fontleroy and Cameron Davis led an explosive offense.
- Vashon (26-4):The Wolverines won the Class 4 state championship, defeating Sikeston and St. Joe Lafayette in the Final Four. One of the state’s most storied programs, Vashon returned to prominence behind the play of 5’11” junior guard Daniel “Peanut” Farris and a deep and talented cast of talented players.
- Father Tolton (30-3): The Trailblazers won the Class 3 state championship for the first time in school history. Tolton defeated Barstow 62-60 in a classic championship game. They are led by five-star player Michael Porter, Jr. and his 6’10” brother Jontay Porter.
- Lee’s Summit (29-2): The Tigers finished fourth in the Class 5 state tournament. They won their first 29 games of the season with an exciting guard-oriented attack, led by seniors Blake Spellman (Northern Kentucky), Nick Larkin and 6’6″ forward Isaiah Sears.
- Hazelwood Central (24-5): The Hawks enjoyed a tremendous season against a rugged schedule in winning the Suburban North and district titles. Their season was ended by Chaminade in the Class 5 sectionals. The Hawks were led by seniors Xavier Sneed (Kansas State), Dominique Dobbs and Steve Holloway (Columbia College).
- Barstow (27-4): The Knights were the Class 3 state runners-up after a dropping a 62-60 decision to Father Tolton in a classic championship game. Barstow was led by 6’7″ forward Jeriah Horne (Nebraska), 6’6″ forward Shea Rush (North Carolina) and junior point guard Jacob Gilyard.
- Sikeston (29-2): The Bulldogs finished fourth in the Class 4 state tournament after a brilliant season. They lost a 69’66 overtime thriller to Vashon in the state semifinals in a heavyweight battle of the ages. Sikeston was led by 6’3″ sophomore Fred Thatch, senior guard Dominique Dyes and freshman guard Kevin Jones.
- CBC (20-9): The Cadets were a Class 5 district champion and earned a berth in the quarterfinals before losing to Chaminade. CBC was led by its Division I trio of Jordan Barnes (Indiana State), Christian Willis (Arkansas State) and Duane Clark (UMKC).
- Tie: SLUH (21-10): The Jr. Bills finished fourth in the Class 5 state tournament. Playing a rugged schedule, SLUH managed to advanced to the Final Four for the second consecutive year. They were led by junior guard Brandon McKissic, senior guards Matt Nester and David Jackson and junior B.J. Wilson. St. Joseph Lafayette (28-4): The Fighting Irish finished second in the Class 4 state tournament. Lafayette defeated Helias in the semfinals before losing to Vashon in the championship game. They were led by talented 6’4″ junior Caleb Bennett, 5’9″ sophomore Diego Bernard and 6’2″ junior Sterling Hicks.
