This game was slowed down much of the time as neither team wanted the other to go on a run. Linton-Stockton got out to a nice lead as senior guard Jacob Clothier knocked down three triples in the opening quarter and never relinquished it.
In the middle part of the game, it was Caleb Hamilton who gave hope as he started to dominate in the low post. Linton didn’t have much ability to stop him except to just outscore him. Joshua Dieball started to take over the game in the second half, controlling the pace and scoring whenever Linton-Stockton needed points. Linton moved on with a 22 points fourth quarter, 46-34 over Eastern Greene.
Player of the Game:
Joshua Dieball – 6’3 SG – Junior
Could have easily went with Jacob Clothier who knocked down all of those triples early in the game but down the stretch it was the younger Dieball who was really impressive. He controlled the game and was able to get buckets whenever Eastern Greene threatened to close the gap.
