Bloomfield:
Brandon Van Sant
6’7 – PF – 2016
You can see that in this game Van Sant is the most basketball skilled but he did not really show me that tonight. He had a huge size advantage in the post but did not really do much with that. I will give him that Barr-Reeve was tripling him also as soon as he got the ball, but he needed to start his moves sooner to the basket. He did not make any mistakes though and he pretty much shut down everything in the paint on defense along with Combs. I really liked the way he wanted the ball and then when the entry pass came in he knew he was the only one who could get it. He will be good with a little bit of work in college. – 6 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks
Eli Combs
6’4 – PF – 2016
Combs was inside with Van Sant this game and he had a huge advantage with a bit bigger of a body than his fellow forward. He showed some nice moves and make a few tough shots that I did not think he could make with his body size. He could be a nice project for a small school looking for a stretch-four type guy. – 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists
Zach Skinner
6’2 – G – 2016
Skinner really impressed me as he was one of the guys I had not heard much about coming in to this one. He can really shoot the ball at a decent clip and he also has good handles. He likes to spot up in the corners but really also did not have a problem attacking the basket. Really long and if he bulks up a little could be a nice guard for some school in a few years. – 16 points, 3 assists, 3 steals
Barr-Reeve:
Logan James
6’1 – SG – 2016
I knew James was a pretty good point guard coming in and he did not disappoint. He showed me why he has over 300 assists in his career showing me his great court vision and making some really good passes. He also was pretty nifty on defense with a few steals and also deflected quite a few passes. He needs some work if he wants to play college but with what I saw tonight he can do it. – 2 points, 7 assists, 2 steals
Trevor Lengacher
6’3 – PF – 2017
Trevor was the guy that was responsible for Van Sant and despite his size he really knows how to play on the bigger guy. He bodied up well and really kept Van Sant out of the game on the offensive end. He was really pretty good offensively as well and made the right cuts in transition to score on easily. – 10 points, 1 assist
Jonathan Walker
6’3 – SF – 2017
Walker was the shooting threat in this one and you knew it as Bloomfield screamed it every time he touched the ball. He did not shoot any 3-pointers but was really good on the dribble drive and finished pretty well at the basket. Not much to see with him as he is mainly a role player but at times he can score if he wants to. – 12 points
