New Class Of 2019 Prospect Rankings
Over the course of the next four weeks, we will be releasing our latest version of our prospect rankings. We will give our overall rankings, break them down by position, and show the biggest movers, and guys to watch over the next few months. Today, we are getting started this week with the class of 2019.
New Faces
Since our last update, we have expanded the list to 60 of the top players in 2019. So look for the 10 new faces later in these rankings. Some of the top guys include James Franklin of Cathedral (IN), Cameron Alford of Brownsburg (IN), and Ethan Brittain-Watts of Culver Academies (IN). James really stepped up since the last time we saw him and for Cathedral he has been very, very good. We hadn’t seen Cameron until he started for Brownsburg early in the year but there is no doubt he should be on the list.
Moving Up
There is bound to be movement, and tons of it, early on for the younger rankings. It is just the nature as you see prospects develop much quicker than others and get more looks at a player. One of those that has jumped up quickly in that of Zionsville guard Isiah Thompson. He’s been a name on our radar for a while but until we saw him go in the high school season, it was tough to gauge just how good he is. A few names we have liked are also Simon Banks of Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) and Mason Gillis of New Castle (IN). Both saw jumps up this time around.
There isn’t any big changes in the Top 5 of this class. The guys near the top have done nothing to warrant being moved yet but we did add a new name to the group. To find out all the new moves and changes, make sure to be subscribed to Prep Hoops Indiana and click the link below.
