Vote: Missouri Player of the Week (Jan. 4-10)
The new year got started with several sparking performances from players from around the Show-Me State. Here are this week’s Player of the Week candidates.
Chase Allen (Nixa): The 6’7″ senior forward averaged 19 points a game to lead Nixa to the championship of the Houlihan’s Springfield Catholic championship.
Tavious Brazil (Boonville): The 6’6″ senior forward averaged 21 points and 12 rebounds a game in victories over Fulton and Marshall last week.
Garrett Francis (Salisbury): The 6’3″ junior forward led Salisbury to the championship of the Madison Tournament last week, averaging close to 20 points a game.
Daniel Hailey (Stanberry): The 6’5″ senior forward averaged 22 points a game in three victories over Jefferson, South Nodaway and Braymer last week.
Nolan Huot (Fatima): The 6’4″ senior forward averaged 25 points a game in two victories last week, including a career-high 36-point outing.
Fermin Jeff (Ritenour): The 6’3″ senior guard averaged 22 points a game in victories over North Tech, Francis Howell North and Hazelwood West last week.
Monty Johal (Glendale): The 6’4″ sophomore put up a couple of 30-points outings last week. He scored 35 against Branson and 32 points against Tulsa Walton.
Dez McDaniel (O’Hara): The 6’0′ senior guard averaged 30 points a game in victories over Kansas City Center and Smith-Cotton last week.
Alex Movilla (Borgia): The 6’7″ junior forward averaged 18 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks in victories over St. Dominic and Cardinal Ritter last week.
William Rogers (Saxony Lutheran): The 6’3″ junior forward averaged 19 points to lead Lutheran to victories over Oran and St. Pius last week.
Corey Shepherd (Hazelwood East): The 6’2″ senior guard averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and six assists in victories over McCluer South-Berkeley and Pattonville last week.
Isaac Weider (Vienna): The 6’3″ sophomore scored 50 points in a victory over Calvary Lutheran, then led Vienna to the championship of the Calvary Lutheran Tournament over the weekend.
