“The season is going great and just how we expected it to go expect for the lose to Apple Valley,” Taron said. “But it’s still early and there still a lot of basketball left.
“And I feel like every time we step on the court it’s a better moment for us because we’re getting better each day and not taking any steps back and our starting five is (all) averaging double figures this season so that’s always a good thing to.”
Want balance? How about Tywon Pickford scoring 18.3 a night, Brad Davis scoring 15.7 a contest with 9.3 assists per game, Jack Hutchison putting up 12.2 a contest, and Reed Nikko ten a game (with 7.5 rebounds and three blocks each game).
Taron is putting up 11 points per game with 4.6 rebounds, two assists, and two steals per game. He’s also built his career scoring total to 921 career points in three years of varsity basketball so he should by pushing over 1,000 points for his career some time towards the end of this month.
Pickford’s game has improved after three years at Cooper and playing with Heat Northwest over the summer.
“I’m stronger, faster and I’ve worked a lot on my jump shot. That was mainly my focus the off season and I feel like I’m playing good so far, there’s still more I can improve on but so far things have being good well for me.”
Pickford will be a college basketball player but where is still up in the air.
“Well most likely I will be going prep or Juco for a year or two and then try to get a D1 offer or D2,” Taron explained. “Right now I’m getting looked at by University of Alaska, Minot State, Northern State, MSU-Moorhead, Carthage College, Lake Region State, and Rochester Community College.”
