A 6-foot-2 guard who can shoot with range off the dribble or off the catch, Morrison is a combo guard who can play both guard spots.
“I also see the court fairly well being able to make a play for my teammates if the option is there,” Morrison said. “I’m trying to work on my ball handling because no matter how good you are, it can always get better.
“Another point in my game is my on ball defense. I tend to play a little farther back versus pressing the ball handler, where I could get more steals. The last thing is aggressiveness driving to the hole. Sometimes I rely on my jump shot to make plays instead of making plays on my own.”
Morrison says his summer coach Darin Mason has helped his game grow and he looks up to Ray Allen and Kyle Korver.
“This past year (Mason) has really pushed me to my full potential,” Morrison said. “I really like the play style of Ray Allen or Kyle Korver. They are knock down shooters but can also take someone to the rack if need be. They are probably the people i mirror my game off of most since we have similar styles.
“I had always been a fairly decent shoot when I first started playing basketball. But Darin really took it to the next level. He is constantly reminding me of things that I could have done, such as driving to the hole on a certain possession or holding a box out a second longer during a free throw.”
This past week, Morrison helped lead Park Hill to the championship game of the William Jewell Tournament in Liberty, Mo. He says he doesn’t currently have any offers, but several schools have shown interest, including, Morningside, Doane, St. Mary’s, St. Xavier’s, Regis, Maryville, and William Penn.
