Jayson Tatum (Chaminade): The Duke signee is averaging close to 30 points a game. After leading the Red Devils to the championship of their own Christmas Tournament, the 6’9″ Tatum exploded for 46 points in Chaminade’s 84-83 overtime victory over Huntington Prep in the Cancer Research Classic in West Virginia.
Jeriah Horne (Barstow): The 6’7″ Nebraska signee is seeking a second consecutive Class 3 state championship with his Barstow teammates.
Xavier Sneed (Hazelwood Central): The Kansas State signee led the Hawks to the championship of the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Meramec. It was Central’s second tournament title of the season. The 6’6″ Sneed is currently averaging 20 points a game for the 11-1 Hawks.
K.J. Robinson (Blue Springs South): The Nebraska-Omaha signee led South to a runner-up finish at the William Jewell Tournament in the Nelson Division. He is one of the top scorers in the state at close to 28 points a game. Blue Springs South is currently 8-1.
Blake Spellman (Lee’s Summit): The Northern Kentucky signee led Lee’s Summit was the MVP of the William Jewell Tournament after leading Lee’s Summit to the championship in the Patterson Division. He scored 22 points in his team’s 73-50 victory over Park Hill in the championship game.
Jordan Barnes (CBC): The Indiana State signee led the Cadets to a runner-up finish in the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament at Meramec. The 5’10” Barnes is averaging 17 points, three rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 80 percent from the free throw line.
Micheal Hughes (Liberty North): The Akron signee was the MVP of the William Jewell Tournament after leading North to the championship in the Cardinal Division. The 6’9″ Hughes had 23 points and 15 rebounds in North’s 59-43 victory over Rockhurst in the championship game. Liberty North is currently 8-1.
Aaron Cook (Westminster Christian): The Southern Illinois signee led the Wildcats to the championship of the MICDS Tournament. The 6’2″ Cook scored a career-high 34 points to lead Westminster to a 60-53 victory over Francis Howell in the championship game. Cook averaged 24 points a game in the tournament.
Al Young (Cape Girardeau Central): The 6’1″ Young led the Tigers to the championship of the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament last week. Young averaged 22 points a game to lead Cape Central to its four victories and its first Christmas Tournament title in more than two decades.
Will Rucker (Moberly): The versatile 6’6″ forward is enjoying a monster senior season is currently averaging 23 points, 13 rebounds and more than six assists a game. Rucker is also shooting 56 percent from the field and 47 percent from 3-point range.
