St. Mary’s — EVALUATIONS
Prospects Height Position Class
Tony Burkes 6’2″ SG 2018
A slashing combo guard who scored a game-high 20 points in the victory. Excellent offensive player who gets to the basket and can finish with creativity. Good size which enables him to finish among the trees inside. One of the top scorers in the tournament.
Yahuza Rasas 6’6″ PF 2018
Improving young post who provided the game-winner when he took an offensive rebounder and hit a short jumper at the buzzer. Was more of a rebounder-shot blocker as a freshman last year. Showing a little more confidence offensively this season. Had a nice baseline turnarond jumper that I liked. Long and athletic.
Yuri Collins 5’10” PG 2019
Although just a freshman, he plays the game with a lot of maturity and savvy beyond his years. He is already one of the better passing guards in the area. Offensively, he is at his best when attacking the basket and using his strength. Perimeter shot is a work in progress. If that develops, he will be very dangerous.
Isiah King 6’0″ SG 2018
Slender shooting guard who provides and instant spark off the bench on both ends of the court. Not afraid to slash to the basket and take the contact. Also hit an open 3-pointer during a key stretch of the second half.
Pattonville — EVALUATIONS
Richard Henderson 6’5″ PF 2017
An explosive power forward who plays much bigger than his 6’5″ size. Led the tournament in slam dunks by a wide margin. Averaged about four to five slams a game. High motor kid who scores around the rim and attacks the boards with passion. An easy choice for All-Tournament Team.
Destan Williams 5’9″ PG 2017
Talented point guard who didn’t really captured his full rhythm on this night, but still managed to score 13 points before fouling out. Delivered some huge buckets in the fourth quarter to rally the Pirates from a nine-point deficit to force overtime. Plays with extreme savvy. Has the ability to score in the mid-range and from long distance.
Jerrid Cosby 6’4″ SF 2016
A long, athletic wing player who delivered a solid offensive performance with 13 points. Very good at getting to the rim and pulling for mid-range jumpers where he could shoot over smaller defenders.
Marquise Hayes 6’6″ PF 2017
A 300-pound post player who does a nice job of taking space in the paint. Did a nice job rebounding and blocking shots while scoring eight points. A top football prospect at offensive tackle with a recent offer from Iowa State.
Elijah Dudley 5’7″ PG 2018
Physically strong guard who comes in the game and provides instant offense. Had his best game in the quarterfinals against Parkway Central when he scored 17 points. Likes to play in transition.
