PG Aaron Cook 6’2″ (Westminster ___ 2016): An athletic point guard with electrifying handles and big-time explosiveness. Both were on display in the Wildcats’ 30-point victory over Lutheran North. Scored 19 points, handed out several dimes and had two highlight-reel dunks over helpless defenders. Signed with Southern Illinois.
PF Mark Rogers 6’6″ (Ladue ___ 2016): Enjoyed a typical productive day with 27 points to lead his the Rams to a 74-41 victory over Trinity. Rogers has really built his body and his game over the course of his career. A Truman State signee, he is a force in the lane with his size and shooting ability.
SF: Devaughn Rucker 6’5″ (Whitfield ___ 2016): A versatile small forward, Rucker makes things happen as a scorer, ball handler, rebounder and defender. Plays a lot of point forward for the Warriors. Has scored several Division II offers already. Division III power Washington University was also on hand to watch him today.
SF Javonta Perkins 6’5″ (Miller Career Academy ___ 2017): Very skilled player who scored 24 points in a first-round loss to St. Mary’s. Showed a versatile offensive game with a couple of 3-pointers, some mid-range jumpers and some nice takes to the basket. A long and slender wing player with good chance to pick up some Division I offers as he adds strength.
SG Cliff DeGroot 6’3″ (Westminster ___ 2017): One of the top shooters in the metro area, DeGroot nailed four 3-pointers and scored 21 points in a victory over Lutheran North. A very dangerous catch-and-shoot threat, DeGroot has also put in a lot of work on improving his ball handling.
SG Steve Webb 6’2″ (Westminster ___ 2017): A top player on the Wildcats’ football team, Webb is a strong, athletic guard who gets to the basket and finishes with regularity. He was very good in transition in scoring 15 points against Lutheran North.
PF Corey Boyd 6’8″ (Miller Career Academy ___ 2017): A skilled big-body who causes problems with his size and nice shooting touch around the basket. He is very comfortable with the ball in his hands. He could become a true force if he improves his conditioning.
SG Nick DeBeer 6’1″ (St. Charles ___ 2017): One of the top 3-point shooters that I’ve seen this season, DeBeer has a pretty release and pure stroke. Scored 26 points in a first-round loss to Whitfield. Has taken on a big scoring load in a rebuilding season at St. Charles.
SG Torrence Watson 6’4″ (Whitfield ___ 2018): A pure scorer who gets it done at all three levels. A determined finisher on the drive, Watson also has 3-point range and a post-up game. Scored 26 points with Missouri assistant Corey Tate looking on. Already has offers from Mizzou, Kansas State and SLU.
SG Tony Burkes 6’2″ (St. Mary’s ___ 2018): An athletic combo guard who scored 24 points and led his team to a late-comeback victory over Career Academy. He can really get to the basket on the drive and finish at the rim at a variety of angles.
PF Yahuza Rasas 6’6″ (St. Mary’s ___ 2018): A long, athletic post player who plays with a high motor. Rasas is a very good rebounder and shot blocker whose offensive game is still a work in progress. Much improved player from his freshman year.
PG Yuri Collins 5’10” (St. Mary’s ___ 2019): A physically strong point guard who does an excellent job of getting in the lane. He’s already one of the top passers in the metro area as a freshman. He knows you are open before you know you are open.
PG: Isiah Williams 5’9″ (Trinity ___ 2019): Scoring point guard who had a nice game against top-seeded Ladue with 20 points. A quick southpaw who could get in the lane, but also nailed a couple of 3-pointers. Also a starter at quarterback on the Titan’s football team.
SF: DeJuan Young 6’3″ (Trinity ___ 2019): A long and athletic forward, Young was a little overmatched by Ladue’s size, but he displayed some good moves inside and some shot-blocking ability He has a good up-side.
