Lawrence Central
Daveon Bell
5’8 – PG – 2017
Bell had his second solid game in a row as he was active and played bigger than his stature. Worked well around the basket early on and found his way into some tough points. Hit a nice three early too. – 11 points
Tyrrell Walker
6’2 – SG – 2016
Walker wasn’t near as effective as he was against LN but still made some of those tough, hustle plays. Good finisher around the rim against pressure. Good body on the combo guard. – 6 points
Mehki Biffle
6’2 – SG – 2016
Biffle was a little up and down in this game but when he was good he was really good. Strong moves to the rim, able to tough out his points. Made some hey at the free throw line tonight. Was more active than against LN. – 17 points
Kyle Guy
6’2 – PG – 2016
Kyle Guy is really consistent right now. Not many can slow him down and he’s an impact guy in every game and on most plays. Was great in transition finishing in traffic and moving around in the air. – 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists
Wesley Jordan
6’6 – PF – 2019
Jordan got some Varsity minutes tonight, maybe first of the season. Was limited in minutes but his size and aggressiveness around the rim. Showed some ability to finish against some tougher, undersized forwards. – 4 points
Cathedral
Jordan Walker
6’1 – PG – 2016
Walker did a good job defensively getting a couple different matchups on Guy and Biffle. He’s great athlete and looks better at the point more and more. Still would categorize him as a combo guard but making improvements. – 6 points
Eron Gordon
6’2 – SG – 2016
Gordon is one of the best scorers in the state but efficiency is always the key with him. This wasn’t the best or worst for that but he did make some big buckets in the third to keep them close. – 18 points
Jarron Coleman
6’4 – SG – 2018
Coleman started off the game on fire but cooled off after the first 12 minutes. Great shooter with size on the perimeter and when he gets going he can really put up points. – 13 points
Tra Landers
6’1 – PG – 2017
Tra had one the best games I’ve seen to date. He was really good in the second half attacking the rim. He’s not a great shooter so points for him are limited to layups which he excelled at creating today. – 11 points
Austin Kendrick
6’3 – SF – 2017
Kendrick is a really tough forward. Can do a lot for a team. Battle down for boards, make a solid pass to setup teammate, or finish the tough bucket around the rim. Has a lot of value as a role player. – 8 points
