The annual game features a top of top seniors from the United States against a team of top of top international players who are 19 years old and under.
Tatum is a three-time gold medalist during his career in the USA Basketball Program. His last gold medal came during this past summer at the FIBA U19 World Championships in Greece, where he averaged 13.9 points a game for Team USA. He also won a gold medal at the U17 World Championships in Dubai in 2014 and the U16 Americas Championships in Uruguay in 2013.
A Duke signee, the 6’9” Tatum is currently averaging 32 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the 5-1 Red Devils.
Other players from the state of Missouri who have competed in the Nike Hoop Summit include former CBC and Saint Louis University star Larry Hughes and former Poplar Bluff star Tyler Hansbrough. Darius Miles, a former All-American from East St. Louis High, also played in the Hoop Summit as a representative from the metro east area.
