Bixby vs Del City
The host Bixby Spartan started their morning well with a victory over Del City. It was a well executed team victory but of course the stars came out to play. 2016 Bixby Point Guard Parker Jennings scored a team high 24 points. Bixby will go on to face off against Edison tomorrow in the final consolation final.
Edison vs Stillwater
Edison and Stillwater faced off in the second game of the day after both suffered losses in their first game. Stillwater came out and appeared to be the better team in the early going. They shot the ball well from deep and held Edison to one shot possessions. All was different from the second quarter on as the dynamic duo of Stefone Richardson and Eli Edwards took over the game. The two finished with a combined 41 points. Stillwater put pressure on the Eagles down the stretch but Edison was able to respond and come away with the victory.
Putnam City vs Bartlesville
PCO and Bartlesville met in the semifinals in what was a tight matchup all throughout the game. 2017 Center Ben Jenkins gave the Bruins all they could handle in the post scoring on nearly everyone of his buckets. In the end the combination of AJ Parker and Barron Tanner were too much for the Pirates as the Bruins prevail 54-49.
Deer Creek vs East Central
Deer Creek and East Central faced off in the semifinals for the final game of the night. East Centrals Burke Putnam had it going early and finished the game with 31 points.
Deer Creek Guard Elyjah Clark was hobble for most of the game with a twisted ankle but still managed to finish with 27 points. This one came down to the wire and Deer Creek was able to escape with a two point victory, 60-58. Deer Creek and Bartlesville play tomorrow for the championship.
