Team Previews: #5. St. Mary’s

<p><u><strong>Head Coach</strong></u>: Ty Amundsen</p><p><strong><u>Affiliation:</u></strong> AIA, Division 1, Section 2</p> <p><strong><u>Top Dog(s)</u></strong>: KJ Hymes (6&#39;9", F, SO);</p> <p><strong><u>Sleeper</u></strong>: Isaiah Walton (6&#39;3", G, SR);</p> <p><strong><u>Notes:</u></strong> This St. Mary&#39;s group is completely different from last season. The Knights lost many contributors from a year ago, highlighted by the defection of 5&#39;11" scoring guard Marcus Shavers who opted to prep in Dallas. However, hope is not lost as Coach Amundsen&#39;s group has developed their skills and made some new additions. 6&#39;9" <strong>KJ Hymes </strong>is certainly one of the most improved players in the state. A reserve last season, Hymes will be the centerpiece for the Knights this year. He&#39;s a lengthy forward with good athleticism and versatility. 6&#39;3" senior guard <strong>Isaiah Walton </strong>is a steady performer that St. Mary&#39;s will be able to count on for consistency. 6&#39;5" junior transfer <strong>DeShawn Wilson </strong>will be a handful for opponents as they will need to gameplan against stopping him on the offensive end.</p>
