Notes: Chavez is a yearly contender for a state title, however often times they are dismissed until late into the season. Head coach Gary Lee does a great young coaching up these talented young kids. Their schedule will be filled with tough section games against a plethora of schools from Central Phoenix. Helping them lead the way is guard Donald Carter who this past summer has quickly risen as a breakout player for this upcoming season. Look for the Champions to make a run at “being champions.”
