Here we look at a cross class reference point to see how they stack up against each other in our “Overall Prospect Rankings.” This is a look at prospects #41 – #45.
#41 PG Josiah Wallace (Marshall _ 2017)
Wallace is one of the state’s best kept secrets. The slick handling point guard gets anywhere he wants on the floor and does it with flare. Wallace knows how to get others involved with quality passing and his ability to score with ease.
#42 PG Kaleb Thornton (Nazareth Academy _ 2018)
Thornton is a burner with rare speed in the open floor. He gets end to end in a hurry! His vision allows him to get others involved and he gets points for himself by getting to the rim. Defensively Thornton pressures the ball and causes havoc at the point of attack.
#43 PF Lorenzo Edwards (Lake Forest _ 2016)
Edwards is a big bodied post that has a great feel for scoring around the hoop. The crafty four man shoots a high percentage from the field and is a sound rebounder. Sleeper big man in the 2016 group!
#44 PG Devin Gage (Curie _ 2016)
Gage is a physical combo guard that is best as a scorer. The DePaul commit was hurt for portions of the spring and summer after an injury late in his high school season. He should return to form and be the leader of Curie’s squad as the senior has significant experience.
#45 SG Zion Morgan (Kenwood _ 2016)
Morgan is an athletic and rangy shooting guard that can score in a variety of ways. His best basketball looks to be ahead of him. Should be a quality defender going forward as well.
