We are looking at the player that elevated their game and stepped up when it mattered most taking both themselves and their teams to the next level.
Hoops4Health was a program that emerged this spring and summer with their team play and had several prospect make a name for themselves. None of them were more impressive than our program MVP Curie 2017 small forward Terry Smith Jr. The powerful 6’4” wing is extremely strong and built like a linebacker. He has an explosive first step when attacking on the perimeter and finishes through contact at the rim. The plus athlete can sky above the hoop for acrobatic scores. Also showed he is a plus offensive rebounder.
When he was at his best Hoops4Health 16U played at their peak. Smith is a prospect that will make noise this season at Curie as a junior! Congrats to Terry on winning PrepHoopsIllinois’ program MVP award.
