We are looking at the player that elevated their game and stepped up when it mattered most taking both themselves and their teams to the next level.
Team Rose had another quality season on the Adidas circuit. They started out with some unsigned seniors that helped their team, but as July rolled around it was Fenwick 2016 point guard Mike Smith who stepped his game up which helped him earn our program MVP award. Smith is a 5’10” lead guard that is one of the most underrated prospects in the state. He has slick handles with the rock in his hands and has the ability to get in the lane with ease where he can make plays for himself and others. Smith can also score with a nice mid-range game with a stop and pop jumper as well as a runner.
During July Smith performed well at the Adidas All-American Camp as well as with Team Rose in Atlanta and Las Vegas. His play earned him quite a few offers! Look for a monster season out of the Fenwick point guard!
