Pre-Season All-State: Class 2A

<p>Cooler weather and rain is never a good mix, unless you&#39;re a basketball fan where the indoors provide a perfect oasis from the cold or the heat. The previews continue and the basketball season is under way in the way of practices and even scrimmages, it is time to get to each class&#39; All-State teams. </p><p>As we continue our All-State previews we look at the 2A class where the returning MVP is now a senior but there is loads of talent looking to knock him off the top. This could very well come down to how teams do and if someone is able to carry their team further than expected. </p> <h2>MVP: Herb McGee; Senior SG; Riverside Academy</h2><p><span style="font-size:14px">Last season&#39;s 2A class MVP was Herb McGee as he helped lead Riverside to yet another LHSAA championship. Herb is looking to complete a near impossible feat with his teammate Malik Crowfield as they try to go 4 for 4 in state championships while in high school. His scoring, rebounding, and defense will provide big time numbers with numerous seniors moving on and his biggest competitor for the MVP may be his teammate.
