There is a bundle of talent for all different levels but here are the top 5 players and a little about them.
Malik Crowfield 6’4 Shooting Guard Riverside
Crowfield has won his whole career and approaching his senior year, that is most certainly going to be the goal. His recruitment has been picking up quickly with an official visit a couple weeks ago to UTEP. He can play both backcourt spots but is best as a high level shooter who is used to taking the big shots. Malik defends at a high level as well. Plenty of athleticism to go around as well. This summer he shared the backcourt with Lamar Peters.
Herb McGee 6’2 Shooting Guard Riverside
In high school, the previous player shares the backcourt with Herb McGee. Like Crowfield, he's won both on the grassroots and high school level and is a high level shooter. McGee is no stranger to big games or big shots and flashes his ball handling an attacking abilities quite often. Herb defends at a high level on the basketball court but is an offensive star in football. He'll have decisions to make on which sport to play as a highly recruited wide receiver.
Devante Jones 6’0 Guard St. Augustine
St. Aug has produced yet another collegiate basketball player. Jones recently picked up an offer from UTEP and is just one of those kids who knows how to play the game of basketball. There is something to be said for someone who is always in the right place. Whether it is a key rebound, lose ball, or a game clinching shot, Jones seems to have the ball. He can play the point guard position with great vision and is a very good defender.
Tolliver Freeman 6’3 Shooting Guard Catholic (BR)
Tolliver Freeman is a very high academic athlete who is drawing Ivy league interest thanks to the grades. He is currently a combo guard who can score on every level but will find his home at the two in college. As you can imagine, as a kid with high IQ off the court, it translates on the court as well. Freeman will fit into just about any offensive system and is sure to be a top notch teammate as well.
Tyree Thompson 6’4 Guard Edna Karr
First and foremost, Tyree Thompson is a hard throwing right handed pitcher who will likely draw draft interest by the MLB. He has his college options in basketball though as well as baseball as a thin but athletic guard who can play either position. He shoots the ball well and can run a team but plies his best trades on defense. He really played well in the EYBL with EP Elite and will now have a decision to make for college.
