With high expectations once again Madison expects to make a run and they have the talent to do so. That’s why PHD ranked them third in our preseason rankings.
“We have a lot of returning talent in three starters and a few with a lot of varsity minutes,” said DenHoed
“We also have young talent that will help us out. Our expectations are the same as every year in making it to the state tournament and win games.”
Taner is a three sport athlete plus he competed with Dakota Schoolers Daly, the top ranked Grassroots squad in the PHD area.
“I felt that making the decision to play with a great program such as the Schoolers helped me in a lot of ways,” said Taner. “We had some ups and downs but we finished the way we knew we could.
“Playing with such great teammates and having a great coach helped me grow as a player, a teammate, defensively, and made the come back from an injury that much easier.”
Taner’s shooting stroke is a wanted commodity. Three schools are contacting him the most but several have let them know that they have interest.
“I have visited a couple of schools already. I plan on visiting Dakota Wesleyan later in the fall as well as a few others. I have been hearing from Dakota State, Dakota Weleyan, Morningside, some division three schools as well as a few D2 schools.”
