In the 2016 class 6'1 guard Donald Carter is on the rise after recently receiving an offers from the University of Idaho,Portland State & Northern Colorado. Carter has become a hot commodity after a strong summer league and AAU season.
Donald spoke very highly of his summer league in June with his high school saying, “it was great and really prepared us for the upcoming season!” Chavez is coached by well respected coach Gary Lee.
Donald played his AAU with Arizona Power coached by Jeff Becker. Carter said, “AAU was SENSATIONAL! We won a lot of tournaments. I played with Colten Kresl and Caleb Simmons.”
Looking into the 2015-16 high school season Carter said he feels “like I can help bring home a state title to Chavez, my outlook is very positive.
Outside of his offer from Idaho, Carter has heard from, “Central Arkansas, Weber State, Portland, & University of Montana.”
In order to get more opportunities, Carter knows he must constantly keep improving on his game. He said, “I have been working on outside shooting off the dribble, and my mid-range pull up game.”
Looking for a college Donald wants to find a school that offers, “a great education, a loyalty to players, & a great coaching staff.”
