Purdue Elite Camp: Top Forwards

The Purdue Elite Camp on Saturday was packed with talent. There were tons of talent from outside the state of Indiana but more than plenty from the Hoosier state. We continue our look at the top prospects from the day's action with a look at the top guards.

Gavin Bizeau - 6’8 | PF | 2018 - Plainfield

Bizeau has popped onto the radar of some solid DI schools as he continues to grow and gain confidence. The 6'8 and growing prospect made some solid plays in the game portion and looked fundamentally sound during drills for where his development is. Gavin can shoot the ball really well and will be more of a stretch four-man.

Caleb Brown - 6’5 | PF | 2018 - North Central

Brown actually did more on the perimeter than I have seen him do to this point in his career. He's a well built, tough forward who can handle himself in the post. Not sure how much he will grow but if he gets to 6'8 he has a chance to be one of the best prospects in the state. If not, he looked like he's ready to expand his game to the wing a bit.

Emmanuel Little - 6’5 | SF | 2017 - North Central

Little is one of the more intriguing players in the 2017 class. He's undersized for his skill set but makes up for it with his aggressiveness and strength. He looked solid and was able to match up with any post player at the camp. He isn't going to be a flashy guy but look at his numbers at the end and he usually muscles his way into a double-double.

John Michael Mulloy - 6’7 | PF | 2019 - Carmel

Whatever the finished product is of John Michael, at the end he's going to be interesting. He's at least 6'7 and moves really well with good enough ball skills to make some interesting plays. He struggled against bigger forwards as he tried to drive and that will come with age but his ability to at least try right now is indicative of his growth moving forward.

Jack Nunge - 6’9 | PF | 2017 - Castle

Nunge is most definitely a stretch forward but as he showed a little at the end of July and on Saturday, he's a guy that has some potential to be effective in the post. Now, I'm not sure it will ever be a big part of his game but any college coach will try to make it one. Shooting wise he's very good in the 15-22' range. Has not trouble getting it off with his size and until someone can he's going to keep shooting it.

Trevor Lakes - 6’7 | SF | 2017 - Lebanon

Lakes was one of my favorite players in July and looks like he could be on the brink of taking a big step forward and drawing in some bigger college interest. He's a little more athletic than I thought and that is another piece to his puzzle. If he gets better and continues to show his mobility and improves athletically, he could be a DII/DI wing player.

Kevin Easley - 6’5 | SF | 2018 - Lawrence North

Easley had a solid camp and came up big at the end. You could throw Easley in as a wing and that is probably the direction he will end up going but I needed another big for this story so he is in this one. Physically, Kevin doesn't back down from much and he continues to shoot the ball well as he made a few big game winners during the All-Star games.
