About The Program

Lou City Basketball Club (also known as Gateway Basketball Club) was founded by Marshall Newman with a mission of long-term player development. By hand-selecting talent at a young age and focusing on elite skill progression, the program has built a reputation for high-level competitiveness. Our teams consistently dominate their own age brackets and frequently secure tournament titles while playing up a grade level. Most recently, Lou City solidified its status as a premier program by winning the 2026 Missouri State 7th Grade Club Championship.
