Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
The Washington & Lee commit and All-Region selection has put together a strong senior campaign, averaging nearly 15 points per game while serving as a steady force in the backcourt. A hard-playing, strong-bodied lefty guard, he combines good foot speed with a physical approach that allows him to consistently get downhill and pressure the defense. He’s a solid three-point shooter who can space the floor, but he’s equally effective attacking the paint, where he can create scoring opportunities for himself or set up teammates. Defensively, he competes with toughness and willingness, embracing assignments and bringing energy on that end of the floor.

Elshihabi is an impressive athlete who can effectively run the show for his squad or play off the ball and take on more of a scoring role. The 6-foot lefty is a talented ball handler who uses his quickness to turn the corner on defenders and can elevate and finish at the rim or kickout to teammates for open threes. He can also shoot it a bit from three, though he has some odd rotation on the ball. Elshihabi has a really good chance to play high level D3 ball and will make a coach very happy with his offensive versatility and willingness to play simple.

Zade Elshihabi sprung onto the scene in the fall with some strong camp outings and he’s back at it again this spring. At OTR’s The Opening last weekend, Elshihabi was a consensus top performer and caught fire in one game for 7 three-pointers. He’s a skilled combo guard that can spot up or create with his dribble. Elshihabi’s one the premier pieces for Tier 2 Elite and should have the opportunity to raise his stock this spring.
