The only player here that missed the state tournament, although he had played in Spokane twice before, including as an 8th grader who started a few years ago. He is a scorer, and when I watch him, he reminds me of a Larry Bird type player. Not the most athletic, but he might be the best bucket getter in Class 2B. He is already signed up to play baseball at Oregon St., so he may be off the table for college coaches. He went over 1,000 points as a Sophomore, and that includes the covid season. He has averaged 25 to 27 a game the past two years and he will only be a junior next year.

Shared MVP honors with Grose in the Central 2B. He also passed 1,000 points only he did it during his sophomore year last season. He knows how to score, he consistently hits tough shots, and he gets to the free throw line. He is also deadly from three and is big enough to take his game down to the post, and is effective with any number of moves he has in his arsenal. I believe he plans to take his mid-nineties fastball and play baseball at Oregon St. Until then, he will continue to rack up the points in his senior year next season.

Swanson moved up in this edition of the rankings in part because even when he’s not having his best game, he stands out miles above the competition. Some would say he should, given he plays in 2B, but Swanson is also a D1 baseball commit for Oregon State, and it is clear on the court he is a high-level athlete. He has deep range with the jumper, draws fouls with regularity, and has great feel for playmaking off of drives.

No surprise here, he scored 34 points in the opener vs Montesano. He is a bucket getter. He already has over a thousand points in his career and he is only a junior. He can make shots from anywhere. He is big enough to post up smaller players and he’s a lights out shooter from long distance. He averaged 26 last season and will likely get more this year. He will be a problem in the Central 2B.

He is the best bucket getter in all of 2B in my opinion. He has over a thousand points already in his career and he is only a junior. 27 a game last season was a walk in the park for his skill-set. At 6’3, he can score on all levels and has an arsenal of shots and moves that seem effortless to him. I’m not sure if people realize how good of a three point shooter he is either. He has one of the most effortless and picture perfect looking shots you’ll find on any level. He is also tough and hard nosed, getting buckets in the paint and on post ups. He can play point guard, or power forward, although he is best at the ball in hands position.

rnHe’s a 2B player of the year candidate. Scored 26PPG last year. He’s a walking bucket and can score from all levels. He’s got decent size for a guard and can also post up and score over smaller players. He’s tough to stop and can make tough shots on a regular basis. He’s great at getting downhill and lethal from anywhere.

This kid can play all over the floor at around 6’3, and I like versatility. He also happens to be one of the best players in all of 2B. He passed the 1,000 career points mark last season as a Sophomore. He’s been a starter since 8th grade. He averaged 26PPG last season. He’s a bucket getter from anywhere, and a great competitor. I like players that compete.
