Elite athletes that bring energy on both ends of the floor are a huge asset to have. UD Jesuit has that in Johnson. In my opinion, he’s one of the best wing defenders when it comes to slowing shooters. Offemsively, he gets downhill in a wide variety of ways.

Johnson has been one of the biggest sparks in the state. Offensively, it’s been easy to see. He’s been attacking the rim with dribble combos, shot fakes and speed in a lane. Defensively, he’s been a force as well. I don’t know that there’s a wing out there right now that’s closing out on challenging shooters more effectively than Johnson.

Johnson is already off to a fast start this season and has already showcased his ability to throw it down. He’s an athletic 3 level scorer, but if he gets a lane to the rim or busts loose in the open floor, watch out. His 1 handed finish is one of the most exciting around.

One of the most impressive performers on the day was Xavier Johnson. Xavier has excellent size and can play either guard position well. Xavier was clutch, hitting big shots and putting up massive scoring performances. He is a high-level shot-maker and a great offensive player. At 6’5, he has the size to play either guard position. He will be a real asset at the next level, and he was a riser this whole weekend.
