About William

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a skilled guard with a natural scoring ability. I have a great touch for the basket and am able to get to my spots efficiently. I also have good IQ and am able to create opportunities for my teammates as well. I have quick hands which make me an efficient rebounder and allows me to get easy deflections on the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a passionate player who loves the game. I have high expectations for myself and can sometimes be hard on myself when I’m not playing to my potential. At times I can be intense because I’m energetic and vocal on the floor. I’m a natural leader and very competitive.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I believe I have really honed in on my natural leadership ability, especially within the last year. I have good communication skills and am coachable. I encourage my teammates and hold them and myself accountable to maintain the team standard.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I loss my maternal grandmother before my 2nd birthday, my maternal grandfather when I was 8, and my maternal uncle/father figure at 12. This has had a huge impact on my life. Although losing them has made my life more challenging, it hasn’t made things impossible.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a school that values respect and family. A school with an experienced coach. A school that encourages a winning culture and holds its players to a high standard.
