Nobody all weekend made a louder statement than Carr, who put together two dominant performances on Saturday morning while looking like one of the fastest-rising prospects in the area. On the heels of a significant growth spurt over the past couple years, Carr has the size and burgeoning strength of a legit ‘4’ but with the feel and perimeter skill of a guard. He showed advanced ball skills while navigating traffic and keeping his head up to facilitate offense, and put his versatility on display while toggling across different usages within the span of a single possession. Carr is a dangerous shooter from the perimeter as well, evidenced by a movement 3 at the buzzer to push the Cougars ahead. He’s still a bit heavy-footed leaving some questions about where he fits best on the defensive end but Carr is trending up quickly and could find himself on D1 recruiting boards if he continues at this rate.

An emerging talent coming off a notable growth spurt, Carr is quickly establishing himself as a significant factor in the 5A title picture. Having grown six inches within the past year, he’s developed into a versatile frontcourt weapon with an efficient inside-out arsenal offensively. He shows solid touch as a finisher inside whether out of the post or flashing to the rim as a cutter. Carr is an emerging shooter with flashes of ball skills to build on over time. He’s still in the process of figuring out his body and carving out an identity defensively, but with D1 bloodlines, there appears to be substantial upside for Carr to tap into moving forward.
