I named Hartsock a Mitten State Mash All-Star, and for good reason. He was simply one of the toughest players to stop offensively in the entire gym. Hartsock didn’t blow you away with above the rim dazzling finishes. He didn’t need to. Hartsock looked like he really knew how to play the game and how to get looks at the rim. And when he got them, he delivered at a high percentage.

Hartsock was a bucket at the Mitten State Mash. Yeah, he was a good shooter, but it was much more than that. Hartsock found the soft spots in the defense and took advantage of them. Give him the 3? He showed he’ll hit it. Leave the middle of floor open? He’ll flash to it and score from the mid range. Play off of him and he’ll attack off the bounce. And it goes on.
