Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Tyler had an extremely impressive defensive performance in the win over Riptide. He was matched up with a much longer big on the other end and held his own by walling up possession after possession. Stephens also put his body on the line a couple of times drawing charges, once in help on a drive and once on his primary matchup. Tyler’s versatility is shown in his ability to rebound and push which helped him find some easy buckets running the floor. He went for 6 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 3 Blocks in the matchup.

Stephens was a pleasant surprise at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo back in September with his play. Tyler is a bit of a TWEENER on the floor with his ability to handle the rock at times and also able to post up. Stephens plays the game with a great MOTOR. Tyler could have a breakout year for the Bengals this coming season.

Stephens was the 2nd part of the Bengals program to make quite a 1st Impression here today. Tyler has great motor on the floor and really brings very good versatility to the game. He was effective finishing around the rim after bringing the rock from coast to coast at times. He constantly played active on both ends of the court.
