Expert Analysis

Washington is the biggest player on this list, listed at 6-1 and armed with a wingspan that probably approaches 6-6 right now. His length is a major asset on the defensive end, allowing him to cover a ton of ground, get into passing lanes, and contest shots on the perimeter. With his combination of size, length, and lateral movement, he has the ability to defend one through five at this point in time, but he’s at his best on the perimeter.

Washington was extremely impressive in both 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 play, showcasing eye-popping athleticism, which he pairs with length, body control, and a non-stop motor. He has the ability to score inside and out, posting up smaller defenders, knocking down shots from the 3-point line off the catch, and showing the ability to attack bigger defenders off the dribble. He covers a ton of ground with his long strides and has some serious long-term potential as a two-way wing. It’s obviously incredibly early in the process, but Washington looks like he may be one of the top players in the state’s 2029 class.

A lengthy small forward, Washington had no problem going up and getting boards for the Breakers on Sunday. Washington used his wingspan to get his hands up and block shots inside as well. On offense Washington sported a clean mid-range jumper, as well as being able to use his size to drive the lane and score as well.

Washington is a point forward who can do just about everything. He handles well for his size and has great vision. He can get to the basket with little effort, and once there, he finishes at a high rate. Washington can make passes that other guards cannot, thanks to his height and length. The smooth wing shoots the three-ball, guards multiple positions, and rebounds at a high rate. Washington is a polished prospect.
