Trey was easily the most impressive rising senior that I watched in June. The two attributes of his that stood out to me were his scoring ability and stamina. He made one open 3 to start the game, which opened the floodgates. Then, contested jumpers started to fall from the mid-range and beyond-the-arc. Finally, he seemed to get to the basket whenever he wanted, because his entire game had opened up. This all goes without me mentioning that it was his 4th game of the day. Most players seemed fatigued, but not Oldenburg. Trey was still able to play most of the game with little rest and went all-out the entire time he was on the court. I could absolutely see him being a Division 2 All-State nominee this upcoming high school season for Jefferson.

Oldenburg was a true shot-maker for Hopson Elite . His team had some possessions and stretches throughout the game that were difficult to score until the ball got in Oldenburg’s hands. He made simple one- or two-dribble moves to get to his spot and made his shot. He did not need much space and made shots with a hand in his face. He gained most of his points in the midrange.
