Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Burnett, a wing out of Notre Dame Prep in Connecticut, checks in at #17 among the small forwards and #75 overall. The 6’4″ lefty is a high level athlete that impacts games with his ability to put pressure on the rim as a slasher. He uses his size to post up smaller defenders and shows nice touch on his jumper in the paint. He continues to show consistency as a perimeter shooter and has really developed his off the dribble game in isolations. On top of that, his length and athleticism allow him to be a high level defender, particularly in space or at the top of a press.

Burnett, a sophomore out of Notre Dame-Fairfield High School, has a chance to be a breakout performer in the CIAC this winter. The 6’4″ has a good frame, a plus wingspan, and above the rim athleticism. He’s a tough cover in transition, when he gets downhill and attacks the rim off the bounce. His strength allows him to bully smaller defenders around the rim, but he also has a good amount of skill on the perimeter. He’s a tough, multi-positional defender and a plus two-way rebounder too.

Burnett, a wing out of Notre Dame Prep, checks in at #113 overall and #34 among the small forwards. Burnett, a lefty, does a nice job of playing hard, consistently. He gets up and down the floor well in transition, attacks the offensive glass, and can play out of ball screens in a variety of ways. He’s capable of finishing with either hand around the rim and is showing signs of developing as a perimeter shooter. Defensively, he can guard up and down a position, isn’t afraid to be physical on the glass, and uses his length to be disruptive on the ball.
