An unsigned senior, Mitchell checks a lot of boxes, especially with his physical gifts. Timbo jumps out of the gym, an electric athlete with pogo stick bounce. He’s got great speed in the front court, thriving in transition. Mitchell likes to attack the rim, knowing his strength comes 10-feet and in. His quick second leap lets him live on the offensive glass. He scored on five putbacks in a 76-64 win over Camden Elite. While he left too many points at the line (4-10), Timbo still dominated with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Mitchell feels like an interesting JUCO candidate with the chance to blossom at the next level.

Mitchell had his overall game on full display this past weekend for Rome Elite with his well rounded athleticism being the real calling card he possesses as a prospect. Mitchell is more of a wing than a 4 mainly due to his speed, improved handle, and ability to break guys down off the bounce from the perimeter. Mitchell is at his best in transition, where he can properly showcase his speed and explosiveness in a wide open setting, he often makes momentum shifting plays. Mitchell has some outside touch as well, when the defense closes out he often blows by and finishes above the rim. As Mitchell continues to show his value this spring/summer and shore up some habits defensively, he’ll continue to really establish himself as a next level player and one lucky program will be getting a real athletic gem from The Peach State.
