-Brown continues to fly under the radar despite performing at a consistent two-way level as a starter for Glen Burnie. Brown showed the ability to weave through traffic to score with some flair at the rim because of an advanced understanding of how to hit angles in the defense– similar to a running back explosively hitting the hole. Loved his burst with the ball in his hands but the skill level in his footwork to maneuver around the defense to use a series of pivot moves to stick floaters and turn-around jumpers in the key. Our scouts also came away impressed with the flashes of vision as a passer in the halfcourt that does a great job of drawing two and creating for his teammates. As several of the best guards in the county move onto join the collegiate ranks, Brown will be that much more valuable as a prospect that is already productive that also has 3 full seasons left to develop his game.

-Brown might be the most under-the-radar prospect in the class as a skilled lead guard that is a smooth operator with the ball in his hands. Brown started for Glen Burnie this season and proved his value as a super creative ballhandler that can shoot and pass off the bounce from all 3 levels of the floor. Will be super interesting to see the team/role that his circle picks to run with this summer, but I expect him to become a respected name in the class next season.

-Came away very impressed with the balanced performance out of the freshman guard. Brown showed off a smooth right to left spin move into a series of different finishing moves around the rim, took the ball from C2C to score at the opposite end, had an explosive blow-by lefty drive AND1 lay over the opposing big at the rim, found open teammates on the block for easy layups under the rim, and froze the defender with a euro lay in transition. The balance of skill, assertive play, and 2-way impact makes him a nice sleeper in Baltimore County’s freshman class.
