Te’Jay is maybe the best-scoring guard in the state. He has great range from three and can pull up in the half-court set with ease. Though having great confidence, it’s never a confidence that could hurt a team. He knows when the time is right for a deep ball or leaning shot. With a quick first step, Daley is a hard guard for anyone. When getting past his defender, the Nettleton guard makes difficult layups look easy. A mixture of acrobatic and crafty, he is fun to watch when attacking the basket. Daley is the main reason why Nettleton has a chance at making a deep run this season.

Going into his senior year, Daley is one of the best players in the state. The 5’11 guard was a straight bucket-getter this weekend, scoring in every way imaginable. When attacking the basket against multiple ArKings 6’8 defenders, he aggressively used his body, seeking contact and finishing through it. Showing a knack for the hop step, Daley was able to get to the free throw line at a pleasing rate. From behind the arc, he kept the opposing defenders honest. Nailing threes off the catch and off the dribble. Despite being a wired scorer, Te’Jay was very willing and a good passer. On multiple occasions, Daley would drive, causing defenders to step up, then making nice bounce passes to the soft spot for easy assists.  

Te’Jay Daley is wired to produce. He plays with speed and pace, confidence, and a scorer’s mentality, able to generate offense early in the clock or late in possessions. His ability to handle a heavy shot load while still applying pressure as a downhill guard makes him a tough matchup and high‑usage backcourt piece.

Strengths shown in the game today: Leadership and assertiveness. Played on a different gear, a player who directed the offense, controlled tempo, and minimized turnovers. Plays scrappy defense, ended up throwing it down on the break after creating the turnover.

Daley plays with a relentless motor and a mindset that refuses to back down. Every possession is a battle he’s willing to win. That intensity fuels his offensive development, where he’s becoming more confident and capable as a scorer. He’s learning to pick his spots and attack with purpose. Whether it’s a hard drive, a second-chance bucket, or a timely jumper, his production is starting to match his effort, and that’s a dangerous combination.

Te’jay enters 11th grade as one of Arkansas’s premier lead guards, armed with tighter ball‐screen reads and a more lethal pull-up game. His improved lateral quickness shows up in on-ball pressure, while off the bounce, he’s added some more lift getting up around the rim. Expect Daley to push tempo relentlessly, rack up assists, and force defenses into uncomfortable rotations.

Te’jay Daley is a guard that plays with an edge as he doesn’t back down from competition as he showed this in the Grind Region Finals. Offensively he is always in constant attack mode making sure he gets high percentage opportunities in the painted area. While being able to threat defenses with his scoring inside the paint he shares the ball well to his teammates. I was really impressed with his defensive ability being able to guard at a high level while being vocal on that end of the floor.

What’s Next for Te’jay?
Te’jay currently ranks among the top 20 players in his class in Arkansas, where he has the potential to continue his upward trajectory within the state. I firmly believe that Te’jay possesses a strong case for playing on the next level, considering his exceptional skills and contributions on the basketball court. With continued growth and improvement in his game, Te’jay should soon receive offers from college basketball programs.

Details on Daley’s exact role are yet to be clear; his growth centered on defensive versatility and, offensively, smarter reads under pressure. He’s added polish to his off-ball movement and looks ready to become a situational disruptor. He’s set to be Nettleton’s lead guard, who defends and attacks relentlessly.

Tejay Daley was by far and away the most energetic and high motor player on the floor in the Jaguars win over In and Out Elite. Daley was a hands-on machine on defense and kept up the positive energy for his team all game, leading to a complete statement victory. Daley knows how to finesse his way to the basket past strong perimeter defense and finished with ease, as well as keeping teammates involved dishing the basketball. If I was putting together an all-tournament team, Daley would easily be at the top of that list due to his physical play, dog mentality, and aggressive slashing/court vision.
