Williamson proved to be prolific with the ball in his hands, skillfully using aggression against them. The multi-sport athlete possesses a lightning-quick first step that consistently gave his team an advantage in the half-court. While he wore his playmaker hat, Williamson also showcased a complete scoring package. He knocked down jumpers off the catch, hitting mid-range pull-ups with supreme confidence, and embraced contact to finish strong through defenders at the rim.

Williamson looks to have grown a few inches since his freshman season, and that could pose problems for the rest of the City Conference. This is a young point guard who plays with impressive poise and change of pace at his age, able to effortlessly maneuver his way off screens and through defenders to get to his spots. Taylor can zip in passes from the perimeter to cutting teammates, or get two feet in the paint before dumping it off to one of his bigs. Good body control to hang in the air and finish against taller defenders at the rim.

Williamson made consistent impact plays for Wisconsin Playground, scoring efficiently at all three levels while guiding the offense through pressure situations. Armed with a tight handle and strong court vision, Williamson created for both himself and his teammates. Wisconsin Playground’s pace and spacing thrived under his steady leadership throughout the Windy City Wars weekend.

Williamson showcased his talents this summer with Power 5 and is attending Milwaukee School of Languages. The 5’7 guard proved capable of scoring on all three levels of the floor. His change of direction and ability to shift gears was tough to contain. I was also impressed with his ability to facilitate after applying pressure on the basket.
