-More prospect than player at the moment, but Tarkang is starting it to put together. Standing at a chiseled 6’4, he is being deployed in the rotation as a switchable defender that can capably guard 3-5 while rebounding at a high clip and serving as a dropoff target for his guards in the paint. The athleticism, lateral movement, and motor really stand out as a prospect that has the upside to develop into a great 3+D wing.

2p 4r 1a 1b vs Jackson Reed
-Snapping up some long term stock in Tarkang after seeing him this weekend. Standing at least 6’4 with a +wingspan and a sturdy frame, Tarkang projects to be a physical 2-way wing that takes pride in locking down opposing 2-4 players. Tarkang stays down on shot fakes on the perimeter but understands how to vacuum up the space once his opponent picks up the ball and has active hands to disrupt passing windows. Excited to see how his game progresses as the season pushes on and how he is used within different lineup combinations for Good Counsel.

2p 4r 1a 1b vs Jackson Reed
-Tarkang is more prospect than player right now, but Tarkang should receive a nice boost in our next set of updated rankings as he really left an impression on our scouts. Tarkang has big shoulders and a strong upper body with a sturdy core, but he moves pretty well for a player his size on the perimeter/in ball screens– and he did a great job of using that length to be disruptive at the defensive end of the floor. Really interested to see how he develops the ball skills as he begins to build a career as a defensive stopper on the wing.
