Garey was one of the first players to catch my eye all tournament long. He has excellent size and a strong build, and he used both to his advantage on every possession. He played with toughness on both ends of the floor, but what really stood out was his defensive impact, as he proved to be an extremely difficult matchup to score against. Offensively he showcased his ability to score at all three levels, knocking down shots from the perimeter, creating in the mid range and finishing at the rim. His biggest moment came in the final game when he calmly stepped to the line and buried three clutch free throws at the buzzer to seal the victory

Garey showcased himself as a high energy guard with strong playmaking instincts and court awareness. He consistently showed good vision, allowing him to facilitate the offense and keep teammates involved. Garey excelled at penetrating the defense, drawing attention from defenders before kicking the ball out to open shooters, creating quality scoring opportunities. His ability to control tempo and make smart decisions with the ball adds value to his role as a primary facilitator. Garey’s energy translated on both ends, as he stayed active and engaged throughout the game. He will be a guard to watch on bracket play as the offense runs through his hands.
