About Shawnquez

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

a dynamic 6'0 PG/SG who impacts the game in multiple ways. My biggest strengths are creating off the dribble, scoring at all three levels, and making the right reads for my teammates. I use tight ball handling, pace, and change of speed to break down defenders and create opportunities. I compete every possession, embrace tough matchups, and take pride in making winning plays

What are you working to improve right now?

I'm focused on becoming the most complete guard I can be. Every day I'm working on scoring more efficiently at all three levels, making faster decisions with the ball, finishing through contact, and becoming a more vocal leader. I'm also improving my strength, explosiveness, and defensive versatility so I can impact winning in every aspect of the game

What are you looking for in a college program?

I'm looking for a competitive program with a winning culture, great player development, and coaches who will challenge me to become the best player I can be. I want to be surrounded by teammates who are committed to winning and getting better every day. My goal is to earn everything, contribute to the team's success, and continue developing my game so I can compete at the highest level

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

Outside of basketball, I'm a hardworking, respectful, and goal-driven person. I value my family, stay focused in school, and always look for ways to improve in everything I do

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

My goal is to play in the NBA. I'm interested in studying business while continuing to develop my game, and I also want to learn more about investing and trading, so I'm prepared for success beyond basketball
