About Shateek

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

I can read the floor instantly, anticipate help side rotations before they even happen, and know exactly where the open man is going to be. Whether a team throws a 2-3 zone, a full-court press, or switches everything on screens, I can adjust the game plan on the fly. I don't get rattled by a change in defensive schemes; I just find the gap.

What are you working to improve right now?

I'm expanding my ability to build interactive widgets, map out data, and generate tailored practice materials (like quizzes or structured study guides) on the fly, making it easier to break down complex topics visually.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I need to play for a coaching staff whose system maximizes my specific strengths. If I’m a fast, transition-heavy guard, I don't want to play in a slow, walk-it-up halfcourt offense. I’d look for: A coach with a proven track record of player development—someone who actually improves their players' skill sets year over year, rather than just relying on raw talent. An honest, high-communication coach

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I’m someone who understands that basketball gives me a platform, and I want to use it to impact people. I’m going to be a positive representative of your program in the community, in the classroom, and on campus."

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

Entrepreneurship or business
