After leading the Warriors to a Class 3A State Tournament appearance last year, Threadgil is hoping to repeat the trick up in rugged Class 4A. The explosive scorer has them well positioned to do that, as Idabel is 16-3 and ranked 5th in 4A. In a battle against Broken Bow and another of the best scorers in Oklahoma Threadgil poured in 43 points. He takes pull up threes like they’re 15 footers. Along with a crafty and bullyball type handle to attack downhill. Few players in Oklahoma will put on as big of a show as Threadgil will during these upcoming weeks.

A tough and complete scorer, Threadgil battled against the VCS size on every drive. During a stretch in the third quarter, he finally got his jumper going and he pushed his Warriors ahead. Looking like they might have a chance to take control of the game. The southeastern Oklahoma junior finished with a team high 21 points.

The junior guard led a massive rally on Saturday against one of the top small school teams in the state. Threadgil has a strong frame and uses it well to dictate the pace and always look in control when the ball is in his hands. It started with tough finishes through contact with fearless driving. Then when Idabel took over in the fourth, he mixed in big shots in the mid-range and from the beyond the arc. Some guard’s just have a knack for putting the ball in the hole, and if Saturday was any indication Threadgil has been undervalued for too long. And he’s set up for a big playoff run these next few weeks.
