Smith really came on strong for Servite as the season progressed and was one of the Friars’ best perimeter defenders throughout its league and postseason slate. The wiry and athletic lefty showed off his smooth three-point shot all season as he connected on three’s at a 47 percent clip and knocked down free throws at an 81 percent clip. Smith finished his freshman campaign averaging 11.6 points per game and showed plenty of tools to build on.
