Expert Analysis
Carey Smith | Prep Hoops Scout
Ranalli is a traditional small forward who poured in 27 points (11 points in 4Q) in Henderson’s win over Radnor. It was one of the more unique 25-point+ scoring performances in recent memory every one of Ranalli’s buckets came inside the lane. He scored on finishes from the dunker spot, on pick-n-rolls and via the offensive glass. Ranalli also knocked down several flip hook shots from in close. He ran the floor for points on the secondary break too. Plus, this solidly built forward cleaned the defensive glass.

Back in September Ranalli posted a monster weekend at the Big 64 Showcase as he averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds per game. His stretch-4 skill set presents serious match-up issues for opponents. Ranalli can drain threes, operate in DHO action, and score off dribble drives. So bigs cannot defend him. His size, physicality and tenacious offensive rebounding overwhelm opposing guards. In close, Ranalli has displayed smooth footwork and the skills to convert with either hand. Ranalli will also surprise foes with his ability to push the rock for transition scores and assists.
