Ryan used his size and wingspan all day on Saturday to constantly beat opponents scoring the basketball. He can pull up for a midrange or three point jumper or finish strong under the rim. The 6’6 forward for Cy Falls has a well-polished game where he blends a mix of athletic scoring with essential paint defensive capabilities. He can use a soft touch to hit floaters over tall opponents, or he dunks home fastbreak opportunities to give Cy Falls the lead in critical games. His timing was key in the paint as he blocked several opposing shot attempts at the basket and limited the other team’s points by grabbing key rebounds.

6’4 Nelson brings a strong combination of size and physicality to the frontcourt. He can establish position, compete through contact and give his team a dependable presence around the basket. His ability to use his frame without becoming stationary is what makes his profile interesting, giving him room to continue expanding how he contributes on both ends.
