Football: 2nd Team All-State

Basketball: I did not get a chance to see Medenwald play this weekend, but I heard reports that he played well. Mandan gave North all that they could handle on Friday night but they came up one basket short. On Saturday, the Braves stuck it to the Deacons. This Mandan team will be legit and Rustin will be one of the their go-to guys. Last season, Madenwald averaged 11 ppg, 5.7 rpg, and .8 apg. There is no doubt that those numbers will shoot up. He was highly productive on the glass last season and that should continue this year. He is a high percentage shooter and an opportunistic scorer. Rustin is in for a great year of hoops.

Much like Frank, he he stood out on the defensive side of the ball and put the clamps on. He finished with a double-double, Madenwald was a beast on the boards. He scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. 8 of those came on the offensive end! It was a fantastic performance by the junior.
