Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
The Jaguars’ big man capped off an excellent senior season with a dominant performance in Jacksonville, pulling down 15 rebounds in the semifinals and scoring 19 points in the championship game. The senior possesses outstanding length, good touch around the rim, and above-average athleticism for the frontcourt. He consistently impacts the game defensively, altering shots in the lane while controlling the glass at both ends of the floor. With his size, mobility, and ability to protect the rim and rebound, scholarship-level programs searching for a frontcourt prospect this spring should take a close look.

Another stock riser in the senior class, Guishard is putting together a highly productive season under Head Coach Dave Roca. The 6-foot-8 center brings excellent length and soft touch around the basket, while also showing the athleticism to rebound and finish above the rim. Defensively, he impacts the game as a shot-changer and has the mobility to move his feet and contain smaller players on switches. College coaches in search of frontcourt depth would be wise to take a close look.

Guishard had his best performance of the season with 19 points for Pines Charter in a loss to St. Andrew’s. The 6’8 senior scored on the block, looked comfortable in the midrange, finished as a roller in ball screen action and shoed the ability to finish above the rim. The improving big man will be a popular name with college coaches this winter.
